Kazmar Family

Tonight I spent the night at the beach with a wonderful family. This cool mom and dad and their two adorable blue eyed kiddos made for a beautiful evening shoot. The water was warm, the lighting great and just a perfect evening. Thanks Naomi and Family for making such great memories. I have the best clients hands down.

Lcpl Marciano Homecoming

I was honored to photograph a new beginning for a beautiful family. A day that started at 4:30am turned out to be a moment I will never forget. There is nothing more beautiful then a hero coming home. This Marine Wife is among the silent ranks, there is nothing special about what we do is who we are. We stand beside our men that fight for freedom. She waited for seven long months, 216 days to be exact for him to come home. Often fighting those lonely nights, the long days and the awaited 3am phone calls. She doesn't ask for anything in return but for him to come home safe. On this special day of August, the Marine Corps did just that and brought him back. Thank you James, Steph and Lily for allowing me to photograph your beautiful family. Welcome Home James. Semper Fi!

See ya later... not goodbye

Today I photographed to people that are dear to my heart. My son's dad and my baby boy. Today we had a heartfeld goodbye as Mike deploys to Afghanstan for 15 months. Military life is not easy, goodbyes are the hardest thing I think I have ever gone through and the what if thoughts always run through my head (thats my paranoia side) I always wonder what if the worst situation happens what am I going to do..this is my reality. I love capturing special moments and today at my own house special moments happened. As I sit here and cry, I give thanks to God that I have the security in him. I love this life and I am thankful that he has blessed me with such wonderful people. As my family goes through another deployment I must remember to be thankful for the little blessings that God gives in my life.

Through the Jungle of Harambe Conservation

Through the jungle of Herambe Conservation do I witness the images of life and it's beauty. With these two beautiful babies I have learned to appreciate the stillness that they posess even though it doesn't happen often.  The waterfall dripping slowly into the fountain of moss and nature it's wonder. Here we spotted these wild beautiful animals living in their habit built just for them as if they were at home back in the African contient. I have learned so much about life just watching these magnificant creatures, and photographing them. To see things through the eye of someone else is amazing. The peace, the stillness, the nature that lives upon this earth that I don't pause enough to enjoy. While taking these photos I really learned to appreciate this beautiful planet that we live on. Have a wonderful evening.

2011

2011:
2011 is bringing many changes in the Pape Household. I am beginning a new journey making memories count. I have decided that God has called me in my life to capture peoples memories. Photographs that will last a lifetime. Battling cancer in my life has changed everything. Memories are all we have after it's all over and that is my life purpose. I love the Lord, I love my 3 blessings, and I love my family. Lets make moments count.
